At SandS Private Health Clinic our Chiropractors have studied for a minimum of four years and have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chiropractic, and have current registration with the General Chiropractic Council and the British Chiropractic Association.

Our Podiatrist’s have studied for a minimum of three years and have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in podiatric medicine, and have current registration with the Health Professions Council and Society of Podiatrists and Chiropodists.

Clinical Directors and Founders

Stephanie Richards

  took over Vale Chiropractic clinic in Talbot Green in 2007. She is a graduate of the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of Glamorgan.

Originally from Treorchy in the Rhondda, Stephanie was keen to stay and practice in South Wales. Although she sees a few patients at Treorchy she has now established a busy practice in Talbot Green.

”I thoroughly enjoy working as a Chiropractor particularly in such a pleasant and popular town as Talbot Green; people have always made me feel very welcome. Since I can remember I have wanted to work with people in a healthcare setting, helping my patients on the road to recovery gives me a great deal of job satisfaction. I thoroughly enjoy working with people of all ages with a wide variety of conditions, rather than specialising in one particular area but I particularly enjoy spinal rehabilitation- helping people strengthen weak spinal musculature to reduce future relapses of biomechanical back pain. As well as developing my chiropractic skills I enjoy developing my clinical skills overall and I have recently studied modern acupuncture which I am incorporating into the practice.

It had always been my aim to develop Vale Chiropractic, Talbot Green into a multidisciplinary clinic which offers patients a whole range of clinical specialities and treatments.  In 2011, I joined forces with Sarah the Podiatrist at the clinic to develop our individual businesses as our new initiative S andS Private Health Clinic. We are now able to offer a wide range of healthcare including Chiropractic and Podiatry’’.

Sarah Parfitt

  officially opened SL Foot Clinic Talbot Green in January 2010. She graduated from the University Of Wales Institute Of Cardiff with an honours degree in podiatric medicine in 2005. Originally from Pontyclun, Sarah was keen to stay and develop her business in the area.

”Since qualifing in 2005 I have thoroughly enjoyed working as a podiatrist in the public sector, however it has always been an ambition of mine to be able to provide a quality private health service to the local area. As I am from Pontyclun and have firm roots here, I decided to open a small Saturday clinic. Since opening I have seen a demand grow to the point of needing two podiatrists and more hours being needed to cope with the increasing demand.

I always knew I wanted to work within the healthcare setting and after years of working on the hospital wards and seeing first-hand how foot problems can affect patients mobility and recovery, I knew podiatry was for me. I get great job satisfaction from being able to alleviate patients pain and discomfort and also having the opportunity to work with people of all ages with a wide variety of conditions. My main area of interest in podiatry is nail surgery as it is also the one area of podiatry that has the best treatment outcomes. I also have a great passion for continuing my professional development which has recently had me traveling to Scotland to study podiatric pathomechanics and medicine and pathology at a post graduate level.

I have enjoyed my private work so much that in 2011 I joined forces with Stephanie at the clinic to develop SandS Private Health clinic with the aim of being able to provide a wider range of private health treatment to the public as well as hopefully being able to provide more job opportunities to the local area.”

Sue joined Vale Chiropractic as the main receptionist in 2004 and has continued to work at the clinic as its developed into SandS Private Health Clinic.

I especially enjoy the communication side of things meeting and greeting patients and answering the telephone. I am a working mum of 3 who lives locally and Stephanie is a good employer, she is a young person who is well focused and dedicated to her job.
